A Weekend with Sue

Sue and her two beautiful daughters were our first visitors this summer and our first visitors since our renovation began. Joe, the plumber, had our sink and dishwasher working by about 4 pm on Friday afternoon, and Sue arrived about an hour later. Perfect timing!

Sue is a friend from good ole Applewood Heights Secondary School. Having last seen each other in 2003, and before that in 1985 or so, we got along as if we were still back in high school (without the zits). As Sue pointed out, this was fun to be meeting again with our own kids who are now in high school, and now we're our moms! (She IS a lot like I remember June, her mom!) Actually Sue and I first met in grade 5.

Here are a few pics from our great weekend together, spent mostly in NYC, ending each day back in NJ:

I was looking closely at that beach picture and wondering why Don looked sort of glammed onto the left hand side. Was he really there or is that just an old photo concatenated onto the new one? Perhaps he was really out drinking with the boys. Or perhaps, you women all had cooties or something and so his chair was situated some distance away and couldn't fit into the viewfinder on your camera.

BTW, tell him he has nice legs but he could work a little harder on that tan...he's looking a little peaked from the neck down. :)

Yes, Don was spliced in there just to keep readers on their toes! We took 2 shots of the group and in one, Don was sitting where Sue is. I wanted to include everyone so just moved him into this same shot and it sort of worked ... sort of.
